How this site is built

Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, and TypeScript, styled with plain CSS: every color, size, and spacing value comes from a design token — there is no styling framework. Type is Geist and Geist Mono, hosting is Vercel, and every change passes Biome and type checks before it builds.

The design system was born in Claude Design and lives in the repository as a written contract. Every visual change goes through that contract, through AI-agent review, and through human review before it ships — the same workflow I offer on projects.

Why it is quiet

The restraint here is a decision, not an absence. Type does the work; structure stays out of the way. There is a single accent color, violet, and it answers to you: it shows up on hover, on focus, and in the cursor — never as standing decoration.

All motion follows a contract with numeric bounds: nothing animates without a trigger from you, nothing lasts longer than it needs to, and anyone who prefers less motion gets the finished page, no animation. The backdrop — an architecture graph that reorganizes itself as you move between sections — is the one ambient layer, and it exists to give depth, not to ask for attention.
